Faith & Accuracy Statement – BibleThinks

Honoring God’s Word with Truth and Care

At BibleThinks, we treat every word of Scripture with reverence and every sentence we write with responsibility.
We believe faith and accuracy are not opposites they belong together.
When we write about God’s Word, we are accountable not only to our readers, but to the truth of Scripture itself.

This page explains how we balance faithfulness to biblical truth with accuracy in research, interpretation, and communication.

Our Faith Foundation

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

Everything on BibleThinks begins and ends with Scripture.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, written through human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
It is complete, trustworthy, and relevant for every generation.

Our goal is not to debate Scripture, but to help readers understand it in context, with compassion, and in ways that strengthen daily faith.

We believe:

  • God is the Creator and sustainer of all things.
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died and rose again for our salvation.
  • The Holy Spirit guides believers into truth and empowers them to live faithfully.
  • The Bible remains the ultimate authority for faith and practice.

These convictions shape every article, devotional, and reflection published on BibleThinks.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

Accuracy is part of integrity.
When we handle the Word of God, we handle truth that transforms lives so we take every possible step to ensure our teaching is careful, credible, and clear.

1. Scriptural Context

We never isolate verses to make a point.
Every reference is studied within its biblical and historical context who wrote it, to whom, and why.
Our writers consider the original languages (Hebrew and Greek), background culture, and the overall message of the passage.

2. Trusted Sources

We rely on widely respected biblical resources and commentaries, such as:

  • Strong’s Concordance
  • Matthew Henry’s Commentary on the Whole Bible
  • The Moody Handbook of Theology
  • Bible Gateway and Blue Letter Bible tools for cross-translation comparison

We do not depend on unverified or speculative sources.
All external references are reviewed for credibility before inclusion.

3. Review and Verification

Each article passes through multiple stages of review:

  • Author Review: The writer cross-checks all verses and claims.
  • Theological Review: Reverend Daniel Harper or another qualified reviewer verifies theological soundness.
  • Editorial Review: The final edit ensures clarity, accuracy, and tone consistency.

4. Continuous Updates

Because our understanding deepens with study, we periodically revisit older articles to ensure:

  • Updated references and clarity
  • Corrected typographical or citation errors
  • Improved readability

Each updated article includes a visible “Last Reviewed” date.

Respect for Biblical Diversity

BibleThinks is intentionally non-denominational.
Our contributors come from diverse Christian traditions, united by the belief that Jesus is Lord and Scripture is authoritative.

We acknowledge that interpretations can vary among faithful Christians.
Where differences exist, we aim to explain the main perspectives fairly, without criticism or bias, and always emphasize shared truths rather than divisions.

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3

Use of Translations

We use multiple recognized English translations to maintain both accuracy and accessibility:

  • King James Version (KJV) – poetic and traditional wording
  • New International Version (NIV) – widely readable and clear
  • English Standard Version (ESV) – accurate and modernized language

When quoting Scripture, the version is indicated where relevant.
Our goal is to help readers understand God’s Word in the form that best speaks to their heart and comprehension level.

Human Authorship and Ethical Standards

All BibleThinks articles are written by real people pastors, scholars, counselors, and teachers who write prayerfully and personally.
We do not publish auto-generated or AI-written theology.
Technology may assist in grammar or formatting, but every word of faith content comes from human reflection and spiritual conviction.

We also maintain:

  • Zero-plagiarism policy: Every article is original and verified through plagiarism checks.
  • Honest sourcing: When we reference a scholar, we name them clearly.
  • Respectful tone: We avoid mockery, argument, or sensationalism.

Faith should always be expressed with humility and truth.

Balancing Faith and Reason

We believe faith is not blind it’s thoughtful.
That means reason and study are gifts from God, meant to help us understand Him more deeply.
Our authors combine theology, history, and real-life application so that readers can both feel and think their faith.

When questions arise about suffering, doubt, morality, or salvation we approach them honestly, without fear.
We would rather admit complexity than offer shallow certainty.

Correction and Accountability

If you believe something we’ve published is unclear, incomplete, or mistaken, we invite you to contact us at editors@biblethinks.com.
We welcome dialogue and correction because truth grows stronger through accountability.

All legitimate correction requests are reviewed prayerfully, and verified changes are made publicly.
Each corrected page notes the update at the bottom.

We also submit periodically to peer feedback from ministry partners and theology advisors to maintain high standards of trust and integrity.

Editorial Independence

BibleThinks operates independently and is not financially supported by any denomination, church, or sponsor.
This independence allows us to remain unbiased in our interpretation and presentation of Scripture.

If we ever include affiliate links or product mentions (for example, Bible study tools), they will always be clearly labeled and will never influence our theological conclusions.
